A blend of Latin Tropics mixed with early ‘60’s glamour defines the look of El Tropicano. The hotel is currently in the final stages of a multimillion-dollar renovation. Its Latin-inspired designs and elements recall the property’s glory days as the first hotel built on the famed Paseo del Rio.

Reservations can be made starting June 27, 2007.  Call toll free 1-800-288-3927 or go online at www.eltropicanohotel.com.  When making hotel reservations, please state that you will be attending the “SCR Seminar 2008.”  Room rates per night are: $117 single or double/$137 triple or quad, plus taxes.

Location:
At the intersection of Lexington and North St. Mary's on San Antonio's famous Paseo del Rio (Riverwalk) - accessible by foot, trolley and river barge. Just steps to elegant restaurants, fine shopping and the excitement of Riverwalk night life.  Eight miles from San Antonio International Airport.

Transportation:
There is no free shuttle service from/to San Antonio International Airport; however, shuttles and taxis provide transportation for a nominal fee.  Trolleys to downtown attractions leave approximately every ten minutes just outside the hotel.  Enjoy the San Antonio River by barge leaving the hotel approximately every 40 minutes.  Seminar attendees wishing to park at the hotel can take advantage of a reduced rate of $8/day.  Parking is also available in a commercial lot across from the hotel.  Charges are: $1.50/day on weekdays before 4:00 pm or $5.00/day after 4:00 and on weekends.  There are no in/out privileges.

Accommodations:
Guests will find great comfort in the contemporary décor of El Tropicano’s 306 guest rooms.  Rooms and suites overlook the San Antonio River, swimming pool or downtown skyline.  All rooms are equipped with coffee makers, hair dryers, iron/ironing boards, data ports and full-size desks.

Facilities and Services:
Great food is part of the El Tropicano experience.  Enjoy its signature casera cuisine, gourmet American dishes with a Tropical twist.  Enjoy the 150-seat Riverside Café, grab something at El Trop On The Go coffee stand, or take in the view on the River Terrace.  Room service is also available.  Amenities include complimentary morning newspaper, guest laundry, swimming pool (with Dive-In Movies!), state of the art workout facility and Internet access.
