Cruising’ Down the River…
It’s been a long day.  You have been trying for hours to figure out that fancy new stitch and thinking about those great things you got at the Fiesta Marketplace and now you need a change – a drastic change.  How about a cruise - imaging just stepping out the hotel door to the river landing and getting into your own cruise boat along with your stitching friends and having dinner as you sail along the beautiful San Antonio river- seeing all the sights- and enjoying the wonderful Mexican dinner!  What more could you ask!

Plan to be part of this relaxing, fun and charming evening on Thursday.  Enjoy a Guacamole salad, enchiladas with gravy, tamale with chile, Spanish rice, beans, corn and flour tortillas, and iced tea.  You may also purchase Margaritas or beer if you wish something extra.

As the boat cruises along from the hotel to the opposite end of the famed River walk you will be told a little about the history of the city, points of interest with be pointed out and you can spot shops that demand further exploration during your free time.

All this can be yours for 35.00 which include tax and gratuity.  Don’t miss out – sign up for this trip for a delightful change of pace.

Witte Museum Tour/Lecture
Wednesday, June 11

The Witte Museum is San Antonio's premiere museum of South Texas history, culture, and natural science.  Changing galleries include Texas artists, textiles and showcase exhibits, some locally produced and some traveling national exhibits.  The Witte Museum has a fabulous collection of Fiesta dresses.  We are very excited to have the charming and knowledgeable curator, Michaele Haynes, Ph. D., lecture on “Fiesta and Its Gowns”, followed by a tour of the Fiesta exhibit.  You will have time to tour other exhibits and shop in the well-stocked gift shop.  The bus will pick us up at the hotel Wednesday at 12:30.  The lecture will start at 1p.m. We will leave the museum at 3p.m.  We suggest you eat lunch early before going to the museum.
