Threads have been around almost as long as humans. Fur garments, shelters and other useful items were connected to each other by sewing them together. The first threads were made from thin leather strips, animal tendons, sinew, and twine. Ancient tribes used what they could find in their surroundings, often local plants or trees. Find out more about the evolution of threads in the May newsletter.
